Polypropylene honeycomb is available in different honeycomb shapes: with Non-woven fabric (TNT), without Non-woven fabric and covered by Non-woven fabric with an additional thermowelded plastic film
Polypropylene is used as core for honeycomb panels. Polypropylene honeycomb is also used as a filter media for corrosive gases. In aggressive environments, it is particularly reliable in terms of quality and resistance to chemicals. In addition, combined with TNT, it can be used as a support for waterjet table tops.
Without TNT, polypropylene is an excellent shock absorber because it absorbs kinetic energy.
Polypropylene honeycomb with non-woven or technical fabrics is a solution for sandwich
and composite panels. In this case, two covering skins are applied on both sides of the sheet
Technical features
Polypropylene honeycomb is available in different types:
- in honeycomb form without non-woven fabric (PP 8.80 );
- in honeycomb form covered with a small fleece heat-sealed on both outer surfaces (PP8-80 T30, PP8-120T30) called non-woven fabric (TNT);
- in honeycomb form covered with non-woven fabric plus an additional plastic film (PP8-80 T30F75)
